MeeT Jack

Meet Jack Hole, the hilariously endearing mascot of our university. Armed with a Doctorate in Adverse Behaviors from AHU, this lovable donkey certainly knows how to turn a mundane day into an uproarious adventure.

Jack is always well-intentioned, but his penchant for mischief often lands him in awkward predicaments, and he's been labeled as an a-hole a time or two. Whether inadvertently causing chaos in the cafeteria or engaging in unconventional "study sessions" on the campus lawn, Jack always brings laughter and cheer to our university community.

Despite his occasional escapades, everyone agrees that our beloved mascot adds a touch of whimsy and joy to our campus life. So, keep an eye out for Jack Hole - you never know what amusing antics he'll be up to next!

Our Vision: A world without a-holes.

Our Mission:

  • To educate the world on a-holery

  • To reduce the presence of it

  • To INSPIRE people to do better.

Our Brand Promise:

To educate people about ‘a-hole impact’ on others in a playful and accessible manner. We don’t seek to shame folks for a-hole infractions. Let’s be real; we’ve all been there.

Our Slogan: “NOLI ESSE ASINUS”

Roughly translated, it means: “Don’t Be an Ass.” Which is what we’re all about here at AHU. We want to teach folks to behave better because life is tough enough already.

FAQs

  • Heck, yes, we are. We've seen a-holes; we've been a-holes, and we want to make this world a little kinder by helping a-holes be better. We also hope to learn to be better ourselves.

  • Using humor is like adding a spoonful of sugar to the proverbial medicine—it makes addressing bad behaviors a little easier to swallow! So while we may not nail 'our top five' set, we're going to do our best to make the serious research we amass actionable, relevant, and, dare we say, enjoyable.

  • It can, but whether or not it actually does takes a two-way effort which is why we say if you're here, be open to it and recognize anyone can be an a-hole.

  • Whether the information should be taken seriously is a matter of perspective. Our insights are grounded in research and real-life experience, and we strive to place them in practical contexts. We don't expect you to take everything you read here as gospel. However, we hope that you find value in our content and that it inspires you to improve how you interact with fellow human beings, even if it's just a 1% change. Ultimately, we're not here to dictate anything. We're simply passionate about these topics and believe that small improvements can have a ripple effect, if you catch our drift.

  • Behaviors that can occur in daily conversations or interactions are our focus. This encompasses negative actions such as disrespect, rudeness, inconsideration, irresponsibility, interrupting others, overstepping or ignoring people's boundaries, gossiping, spreading rumors, being unreliable, unkind, or judgmental. We also address more pervasive traits, conditions, and personalities such as narcissism, psychological warfare, gaslighting, energy vampirism, and others. In short, if it's a behavior or trait that causes harm to others, it's a topic for discussion.
